Graphic Design & Web Site Production

Web Site: Mickey Byrne's

Mickey Byrne's Web Site

The Mickey Byrne's web site follows the same styles as the rest of their marketing materials. The site includes a css photo gallery, an image swap on the homepage that changes for each weekday to showcase the special of that day, and it intergrates a google map on the contact page. The XHTML and CSS coding is all valid to current web standards. I have a maintence plan with Mickey Byrne's where I update the site weekly.

The web site was created in Dreamweaver, mostly hand coded. Graphics made with Photoshop.

Togo Menu: Mickey Byrne's

Mickey Byrne's Togo Menu

Mickey Byrne's is a new Irish Pub located in Downtown Hollywood, FL. I wanted to make sure to keep their togo menu consistant with their prexisting branding. I kept with the colors of green, gold, and white, used Celtic fonts, and put an element from the logo in the overall design. The biggest challange was to show all items from both the lunch and dinner menu, but to still keep things easy to read and organized.

The brochure was laid out in InDesign. Image manipulation was done in Photoshop. Some artwork was created in Illustrator.

Logo: Multimedia Service, Inc.

SAS Gazette

This logo is for a new company that specializes in audio and video services. I went with the colors red, green, and blue because of the RGB color model. RGB is an additive color model that is used for the display of colors in televisions and computer monitors. I also played with the 'U' and the 'D' so they would still be readable, but represent the traditional pause and play buttons for video controls.

The logo was created as vector art in Illustrator.

Newsletter/Menu: SAS Martini Lounge

SAS Gazette

The owner of SAS Martini Lounge wanted to create a menu in a newsletter style. He wanted his customers to be aware of upcoming events around town as well as in his club. He wanted the style to be grungy and trendy, but still classy enough to appeal to his cliental. I created two versions for him. The first showing the upcoming events in the style of separate advertisements. The second style displayed the upcoming events as articles in the newsletter.

I used InDesign to layout the newsletter and Photoshop for the event ads and graphics.

Flyer: Mixed Culture

Mixed Culture Flyer

Mixed Culture is a reggae band that plays regularly around South Florida. They came to me to design a flyer for one of their upcoming events. Their only request was that it conveyed the feeling of reggae music and included a lion. I decided to mix many photos together to show a beach scene and include the traditional colors of reggae music: green, yellow, and red.

The flyer was laid out in InDesign. Photo manipulation was done in Photoshop, and the name of the band was created in Illustrator.

Business Card: Etnia Fusion

Etnia Fusion Business Card

Etnia Fusion by Nefertiti is a company with many sides, including dancing and martial arts performances, instruction, flower arrangements, and other hand crafted products. The main challenge of creating the business card was to showcase all aspects of the business but not overwhelm the card. Nefertiti decided that a folded business card would be best, and I agreed. She was very pleased with the final product and receives many compliments on her card.

The layout was done in InDesign. Photo manipulation was done in Photoshop.

Logo: Etnia Fusion

Etnia Fusion Logo

For her new business, Etnia Fusion, Nefertiti wanted a very symbolic logo. Etnia Fusion literally means the combination of many ethnicities and she wanted to portray that in her logo. She wanted to use a fan, which she uses in some of her dance and martial arts performances and which is popular in many cultures throughout the world. She liked the idea of including a "rising sun", and she had very specific color requests that follow Feng Shui. I put everything to work in one logo, following her color restrictions, without it being overbearing.

The logo was created in Illustrator and delivered on a CD in various formats and resolutions for use in print or on the web. I also included a logo sheet with all the hex codes, RGB numbers, CMYK percentages, and fonts used for future work.

Brochure: Universe Cafe and Taverna Yiamas

Universe Cafe/Taverna Yiamas Brochure

Universe Cafe and Taverna Yiamas had the same owners and wanted to showcase both their restaurants in one brochure. The restaurants had very different styles and my challenge was to present both restaurants properly but have unity within the one brochure. To solve the problem, I used similar elements with different colors and photos.

The brochure was laid out in InDesign. The map was created in Illustrator.

Logo: Solid State Construction

Solid State Construction Logo

Solid State Construction needed a clean, modern logo to work on shirts, signs, and trucks. My client wanted to convey building and construction of homes without using the typical logo designs of a house or tools. The logo consists of various blocks that work together to build the image. It symbolizes building and construction of a whole from various pieces. It also resembles floor tile, a specialty of the business.

The logo was created in Illustrator and delivered on a CD in various formats and resolutions for use in print or on the web. I also included a logo sheet with all the hex codes, RGB numbers, CMYK percentages, and fonts used for future work.

Web Site: Sam the Artist

Sam the Artist Web Site

Samantha Maresca is a long time friend and a very talented artist. When I had to create fully Flash web site in college, I knew I wanted to showcase Sam's work. I used her various paintings and artwork throughout the site, including the home page animation, button rollovers, and background image. I made sure the rest of the design and music to match well with her edgy, slightly dark style.

The site was created completely in Flash using ActionScript 2.0. Sam’s artwork and photos were modified in Photoshop.
